Lost in Queens
When you drive with an outdated map you never know where you will end up. The road names were familiar but they kept going in the wrong direction. It was an interesting road, whatever road it was.

is it because I grew up in Detroit...

that Willets Point is poetic to me? It is hard to believe in a city like NYC that this place still exists. It gets you thinking though, IF they had sewers, how do you control what goes down them? Either way, I think the issue needs to be addressed without Eminent Domain.

Willets Point

Welcome to Willets Point, what they call the Iron Triangle of Queens. It's technically a wasteland of repair shops, scrap yards, and men. Lot's of men, except for one - this is Pasiana Rodriguez. She stood tall amongst them all and they all gave respect back to her. Her bright yellow corner of Willets! I have more to say about this area and do not agree with what the city is doing, but will leave that for the next post. This post is all hers!
